Our company began its course selling pool tables exclusively online, but for our business to grow, we needed to be more diverse with our products. That motivated us to expand by selling musical instruments and patio furniture. Now BCP has a wide range of products that will fulfill our customers’needs from children items, pet products, to everyday household items and much more. We currently have over 1,200 SKUs and sell both domestically and internationally.

We also became one of the top sellers on market places such as Amazon, Walmart, Jet, eBay, Rakuten, Newegg, and Sears. BCP strives to deliver high value products at great prices coupled with exceptional customer service. BCP has warehouse operations in California, Indiana, and Georgia.

About the Position:

The Budget Analyst plans, analyzes, and prepares the organization’s budget. This role is key to ensure the organization’s objectives are quantified, communicated, and continually monitored. A successful candidate can be creative with resources and work in a fast-paced environment with no preset reporting requirements – someone looking to set the bar.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inform department managers of due dates for the submission of budget information
  • Act as an advisor to department managers in formulating their budget submissions
  • Review proposed budget submissions from department managers for accuracy and completeness
  • Examine whether budget submissions can be achieved based on known capacity constraints and inform management of potential problem areas
  • Propose enhancements to the budget model (i.e. reviewing historical trends and relationships)
  • Examine capital budget requests and issue recommendations to executive management
  • Create a consolidated budget for management approval
  • Propagate the approved budget throughout the organization and explain issues as requested
  • Compare actual to budgeted results at the end of each reporting period, and report on significant variances
  • Update the budget model as requested to account for significant changes in the business environment
  • Tracking and reporting of project budgets
  • Maintain the budgeting policies and procedures manual
  • Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 2-5 years of related work experience
  • Analytical skills: must be able to process a variety of information, evaluate costs and benefits, and solve complex problems
  • Ability to manage deadlines and accurately process data under time limited restraints
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge and experience of accounting principles and a working knowledge of US GAAP
  • Experience with integrating budgeting software
  • Knowledge of NetSuite ERP or similar systems
  • Master’s Degree
