Job Description

The Business Systems Analyst- Supply Chain and Logistics is responsible for the Enterprise wide IT manufacturing and logistics applications, development, and project management with support activities. The person is expected to provide functional leadership for delivering on IT projects including strategic and transformational initiatives for multiple business units globally. Responsibilities: Partner with business groups and Varian IT to deliver IT projects across multiple business units. The person will be involved in leading business sessions to define high level business goals/vision, extract business requirements, software selection, define performance indicators, and architect the solution on various IT platforms. Work closely with IT EW Manufacturing Manager to fulfill defined business goals. Provide project management and solution expertise in the areas of SAP PP, MM, QM, PM, WM with an extensive knowledge on the integration aspects of different business processes. Lead a team of third party technology professionals including functional consultants and developers focused on architecture, design, and implementation. Remain knowledgeable with current and future technologies and providing recommendations as needed to meet corporate IT objectives. Work closely with business and IT to provide application support and continuous improvements for the applications that are already in production and used extensively for day to day operations. Primary focus will be on the following processes and applications such as: Procurement, Manufacturing and Logistics

Job Requirements

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science with 5 to 7 years of industry/ IT experience. 2 years of project management experience leading small to medium scale enterprise projects that requires fundamental change in business practice and automation to deliver significant value to business. The candidate should be able to understand procurement, manufacturing, quality processes within business functions.
  • The candidate should have successfully participated in atleast 1 full life cycle end-to-end business transformation projects implementing SAP manufacturing modules.
  • The candidate must have hands on design, configuration, and customization in PP, MM, QM, PM modules along with exposure of integration with Finance and SD/PS.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Prior consulting experience, preferably in a Big 4 environment with exposure to clients/customers in US and Europe.
  • Experience conducting requirements analysis, meeting with business owners, and performing current state system analysis
  • Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills and quick learner of new technologies.
  • Experience in SAP S/4, ABAP, MES in preferred.
  • Professional qualification like PMP are preferred
