We are presently seeking a CAD Designer/Drafter to work in our Pittsburgh, PA and Tarrytown, NY offices.
Creation of construction layout drawings
Site layouts, earthwork, quantity takeoff, and grading plans (e.g. structures, plant support information, roads, fencing, etc.)
Layout of field investigation (e.g. borings, wells, geophysical test points, survey points, etc.)
Subsurface cross sections and topographical profiles
Prepare construction as-built drawings
Preparation of report figures
Surveying or construction site field work if necessary
Structural design and fabrication drawings
Domestic and international travel to project sites or proposed sites, as necessary
Contribute innovative and practical contributions to project designs to meet client needs
Skills & Requirements
Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D 2016 or later
CAD certification from technical school or training organization
Minimum 3 years of related CAD experience in the civil engineering and/or construction industries (land development/construction work experience desired)
Demonstrate ability to interact with technical staff (engineers, scientists, etc.)
Must demonstrate the ability to contribute innovative and practical contributions to project designs to meet client needs
A strong understanding of urgency and deadlines
Ability to complete work with minimal oversight
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Experience with structural design and fabrication drawings (reinforced concrete and steel design)
Experience with industrial facility layout and design, including excavation and site grading
Experience with ArcGIS
Survey experience preferred
