Job Description

Solid Foundation Properties LLC is looking for an Accounting Manager. This position is accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, responsibility for cash management, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate and manage risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with general accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or international financial reporting standards.

As the Accounting Manager, you will provide leadership, management and guidance to the Company’s CEO and Leadership Team on all matters related to the financial strategy of the company, to include but not limited to oversight of all accounting, budgeting, financial analysis and pricing; financial reporting, compliance management, treasury activities and tax and audit compliance. You have a passion for problem solving, leading and managing complex teams, improving the strategic position and delivering consistently exceptional results.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the company’s financial and accounting operations. Have a strong “hands on” sense of financial statements, asset and balance sheet management, tax savvy and compliance, proven grasp of operations, cost accounting, general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and various special analysis.
  • Establishes, or recommends to management, accounting controls, objectives and policies/procedures for the company.
  • Manage the continued development of our operating plan and modeling tools, financial forecasting, and budgeting
  • Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earning based on past, present and expected operations.
  • Support the CEO/COO in the continuing development and growth of the company’s and implementation of business strategies in support of the rapid development and the growth of the company.
  • Responsible for the cost accounting including cost analysis of individual property task and internal operations.
  • Represent the organization and lead all business relations with the organization’s outside auditors.
  • Maintenance of the General Ledger supporting all Financials
  • Client accounting with proper adherence to client specifications
  • Payment processing ensure adequate controls and balances
  • Reporting and Analysis for management discussion and decision
  • Oversee the timely filing of state and agency reporting requirements
  • Evaluate internal controls on a periodic basis
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, communicate, and interact with all levels of the organization, including senior management, production personnel, and customers.
  • Excellent decision making, problem solving, teaming, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong manager of both people and processes.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage staff, motivate teams and evaluate performance, the ability to recognize and develop talent and to empower employees in order for them to reach their individual maximum potential.
  • Support the COO; collaborating with other Department Heads and Functional Managers and contributing to the overall methodology and processes employed by the organization.
  • Align operational requirements, process improvement initiatives and business excellence to achieve overall business goals
  • Develop reports, presentations and dashboards to communicate and present project status to the business-wide leadership teams.
  • Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related major is required. MBA a plus
  • 5 years of progressive corporate finance management along with Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
  • Unquestionable integrity and personal ethics
  • Proficient in the use MRP/SAP/ERP systems
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, experience with SQL, Access and Database programming solutions or web applications
  • Excellent Change Management skills, including the ability to influence, motivate and persuade.
  • Proven track-record managing large, cross-functional business process management projects from end to end.
  • Proficiency with Accounting Software: QuickBooks Enterprise, Loan Sphere (or similar).
  • Strong communication skills and the exceptional ability to speak and write with various audiences with varying degrees of technical acumen.
  • Able to effectively prioritize and multi-task under tight deadlines.
  • Succeed in maintaining on time, on budget and on scope development despite resource constraints and/or complex requirements.
  • Demonstrated capability to mediate between team members, departments and stakeholders to ensure understanding and collaboration.
  • Contribute significantly to the Business Leadership Team in terms of developing processes and tools to advance the methodology.
