Job Description
Overview Oversees the management aspects of the Credit Administration Department including the direct supervision of Iowa-based analysts, credit analysis, underwriting, pre-funding, and related functions of commercial and ag credits. In conjunction with the CCO, acts as the primary reviewer and administrator of Iowa credits. Responsibilities
  • Assesses total risk pertaining to complex requests for new or additional credit by new or existing customers, primarily through the analysis of financial statements and credit history.
  • Distribute new loan requests to Credit Analysts for review
  • Review Credit Analysts’ production to ensure quality credit risk analysis
  • Assesses total risk pertaining to complex requests for new or additional credit by new or existing customers, primarily through the analysis of financial statements and credit history.
  • Participates in the planning process for the Commercial/Ag Banking Division.
  • Assists Chief Credit Officer with designated credits and special projects.
  • Ensures that credit is in compliance with Federal and State banking laws and regulations
  • Qualifications Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in business preferred; or ten to fifteen years related banking experience and/or training in a credit review, lending, credit analyst, or regulatory role; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Seasoned credit management experience should include background in dealing with Iowa-based commercial and agricultural credits. Must have the ability to transfer/disseminate financial information from reports and documents and communicate this with customers, analyst, lenders and bank committees. Must have the ability to analyze financial statement data for credit purposes, along with the ability to interpret various financial reports and complex analysis information. Previous personnel and leadership experience in the development and retention of talent required. Strong project management abilities preferred. Must be proficient with computer technology: banking and credit software, electronic communications systems, and Microsoft Office applications. Accountable for ethical standards, knowledge and application of banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed practices applicable to credit administration.
