Customer Accounts Manager

Position Summary

The Customer Accounts Manager reports to the Manager of Supply Chain.

The Customer Account Manager acts as the primary site contact and liaison to manage a set of assigned customer accounts related to supply of commercialized products and services. Primary responsibilities include demand planning, managing the execution of the order to cash flow process and alignment of customer needs, agreed upon terms between Catalent and customer and Catalent capabilities. Responsible for providing excellent customer satisfaction by ensuring on time delivery through the coordination and execution of customer orders across functions with guidance from Senior and Lead Account Managers. The Account Manager is responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships and creating a consistent experience while promoting the Catalent brand with guidance as needed from Senior and Lead Account Managers.

Catalent s Winchester location is the flagship US manufacturing location for large scale complex controlled release (CR) oral dose forms, with integrated analytical and development services. With 20 years of expertise in product development, technology transfers and commercial manufacturing, and roots in industry leading Glatt technology. This site offers newly installed Fluid Beds, expanded analytical labs, and an advanced open facility design that provides flexibility in supporting the requirements of any new customer program.

The Role

  • As required act as an operational customer/site contact for assigned account(s) with duties mirroring those of a Customer Service Associate:
  • Ensures customer forecasts are received on the regularly agreed periods and chases any missing forecasts and Sales Orders
  • Address and resolve issues pertaining to demand infidelity - orders are not aligned with agreements, short lead time or significantly above/below forecast.
  • Work with supply planning team to have product scheduled for manufacturing to ensure On Time fulfilment.
  • Responsible for working with customer on customer supplied components, information and managing obsolete inventory and communicate required ship dates and coordinate with customer and internally to ensure timely shipments.
  • Ensure customer is billed appropriately for all products and services provided
  • Monitor customer order fulfilment plan. Act as point of escalation for issues on orders – working with key stakeholders at the customer and internally to ensure clear communication, actions as well as preventing future recurrence

The Candidate

  • Associate Degree OR 7 to 10 years relevant experience required
  • Bachelors Degree or higher is preferred.
  • 1-3 years customer account management, sales or project coordination experience is preferred
  • Minimum one to three years of experience in in account management is required; with preference given for experience in client facing role and pharmaceutical/healthcare background.
  • Project management/coordination experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of supply chain and related supply chain services is preferred.
  • Past experience using ERP systems is preferred
  • Basic Microsoft Office experience is required.
  • Knowledge and experience in GMP environment is preferred.
