Digital Marketing Project Manager


ThomasArts is a full-service advertising agency with a portfolio of top-national clients.

We are looking for a Digital Project Manager to manage a web development projects, writers, designers, workflow processes, team resources, contractors, digital and traditional projects, marketing automation campaigns, email campaigns, marketing analytics, variable data, and other traditional campaigns, including: print, direct mail, outdoor, broadcast, and newspaper.

Essential job functions

  • Lead and manage diverse teams, including strategists, designers, writers, developers and marketing technologists
  • o Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving relevant stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility and usability.

    o Manage a team responsible for the delivery of a variety of digital projects (e.g., Websites, display banners and landing pages, social media, online content strategy, lifecycle marketing/CRM, microsites, etc.)

    o Lead daily stand-up meetings in order to prioritize work, resources and deadlines

  • Frequently and effectively communicate key tasks, milestones, dependencies and risks
  • o Create appropriate project documentation such as user flows, detailed requirements and tickets to help our internal teams understand what is expected of them, so that they deliver quality work in an efficient manner.

    o Manage schedules, budgets, and overall project organization to ensure requirements and project deliverables are clearly communicated, understood and executed.

    o Document and communicate project status and strategic recommendations on a regular basis; escalate issues accordingly via the appropriate channels

    o Consistently manage expectations, ensure delivery of the highest quality service, and solicit and act on feedback

    o Proactively identify risk and develop mitigation plans to minimize risk

  • Oversee project planning and ensure successful completion
  • o Develop project lifecycle standards and product policies and procedures

    o Effectively and efficiently plan and prioritize all deliverables and resources working across projects based on scope of work and project goals.

    o Actively monitor project risks and scope to foresee/identify potential problems and proactively identify solutions; identify refinement opportunities and deliver improvements

    o Manage timelines

  • Manage testing with the product team(s) during the QA phase of the projects.
  • Manage project burn rates, specifically the project allocated hours and budget
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Implement resource allocation forecasting – ensuring the needed resources and expertise is onboarded in time to handle the workload.
  • Ensure files are trafficked, proofed and routed to the appropriate publications and media outlets
  • Adherence to TA’s information security standards, as outlined in company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Requirements:

  • PMP certification preferred
  • 5 years of digital project management with demonstrated experience with web development, email campaigns, marketing automation campaigns, and automated marketing reports.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile or other project management practices used in iterative development environments
  • Enthusiasm for identifying ways agile and traditional methodologies can work for technical and non-technical teams, and interest in expanding those approaches to business processes, cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives
  • A critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, high attention to detail and thoroughness in approach
  • Exceptional organizational skills; able to juggle multiple projects as well as disparate information.
  • Solid decision-making skills; ready to identify and perform job functions with little or no supervision.
  • Strong desire to keep up with emerging technologies and best practices
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in digital and social advertising
  • Proficient in sprint planning
  • Effective time management skills, including the ability to balance multiple simultaneous project streams with independent, and sometimes competing, timelines
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across multiple teams and at varying levels throughout the organization
  • Understanding of development technologies and third-party applications
  • Proven experience to manage multiple digital projects at a time
  • Experience with issue tracking and resolution software
  • Ability to motivate, support and understand different project teams
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
