OverviewThe Director, Market Access and Trade will work as a core member of the Commercial Team, reporting to the VP of Marketing and Brand Rx Operations. This individual is responsible for gaining and maintaining broad coverage/access for Hikma Specialty USA promoted products within private and public payer segments.The Director, Market Access and Trade is responsible for developing and implementing market access strategy and tactical plans, including those of direct reports, to optimize patient access to Hikma Specialty products. This individual is accountable for implementing market access strategies and tactics across multiple channels/segments including, but not limited to, Medicare, Commercial Managed Care, VA/DoD, TriCare, IDNs, Payer, Specialty Pharmacy, Retail Pharmacy, Distribution/Trade, and GPOs. Broad cross-functional collaboration with US Brand Marketing, Medical Affairs, Sales, Payer Account Management, Key Account Management, and Government Contracting is critical. Position requires demonstrated proficiency in strategic thinking, collaboration, communication, and proven decision-making skills in order to effectively implement marketing plans across these multiple stakeholders.Responsibilities* Develop and implement strategic directives to obtain/maintain broad access for Hikma Specialty USA promoted products with private and public payers, managed and fee for service Medicaid and Medicare administrators and PBMs.* Leverages both his/her deep understanding of the U.S. health care landscape and his/her network of external access Key Opinion Leaders to design U.S. Market Access strategies in response to proposed policy changes and market access customer initiatives.* Works to collaboratively develop compelling narratives to convey the optimal access for Hikma Specialty's assets to broad audiences including senior executives via governance committees.* Leverages advanced knowledge of evolving rebate models and their effects per channel to better position Hikma Specialty's products.* Plan, direct and coordinate managed care plans, negotiation strategy and execution and payer relationship management with National Account Managers* Analyze the market trends, co pay assessments, abandonment rates, healthcare reform, and relevant business models with impact to the company, and develop strategies that address both current and future implications.* Applies competitive pricing considerations to future portfolio management considerations.* Design payer resource tools, tactics and implementation plans through research, analysis and direct interaction with influential payer decision makers.* Maintain a high level of awareness of public and private formularies, benefit structures, reimbursement mechanisms, legal and regulatory influences, health management programs and product distribution knowledge to accomplish objectives* Lead collaboration with Medical Affairs/HEOR stakeholders to provide strategy and insights for pull-through of appropriate economic, quality and outcomes data to demonstrate superior product value differentiation with multiple customer segments including payers (formularies), organized providers (pathways) and health systems (formularies, protocols).* Provides directional support to Account Management, Field Sales, and Managed Markets Execution teams for tactical execution and participates in driving feedback generation that can be of value to inline or pipeline products* Works with Supply Chain on key business initiatives, i.e. stocking and distribution plan for all Hikma Specialty product launches, product discontinuations, backorder situations, etc.* Works collaboratively with brands, field sales and trade account managers to implement retail pharmacy tactical plans to support the overall brand and trade strategies* Provide marketplace feedback in a timely manner to corporate management on customer business trends, competitive updates and industry issues and opportunities.Qualifications* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, healthcare policy, health sciences or a related field is required, an advanced degree is preferred,* Requires 10 or more years of commercial experience in sales, marketing, managed markets, account management, Medicare, Medicaid, pricing/reimbursement, distribution, or healthcare policy.* Previous experience successfully developing and leading managed markets/payer initiatives that supported product launches; well versed in pharma/payer contracting terms across various segments; experience with oral drugs, including Medicare Part D (Part B), a plus.* Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills* Strong understanding of the US trade environment, trade market dynamics, trade marketing principles and how trade organizations make decisions across private & public channels* Proven track record of success being a high-level independent and team contributor to lead multiple projects and processes.* Ability to lead a team of direct reports and support cross-functional working groups to deliver against common goals* Exceptional communication skills in order to present complex issues to upper level management and contribute to high-level presentations and discussions is a must.Notification to AgenciesPlease note that Hikma does not accept unsolicited resumes or calls from third-party recruiters or employment agencies.
