Now were aiming to be the most technology enabled company in the outdoors & recreation space. We started this journey with Ikon the first ski pass to deliver direct-to-lift access across 40+ resorts on different continents, across different systems, and with owned & partner resorts alike. Were looking for an innovative leader to take our fulfillment platform to the next level as a core component of our enterprise technology architecture. You will lead a strong team of highly collaborative software engineers whove developed a culture of openness and trust. Your experience efficiently running systems at scale, optimizing system performance, and coordinating with product, digital and operations team will be key to our success. Your ability to support technology architecture sessions and collaborative decision making across teams will ensure we deliver long-term, high-value business capabilities. This is a critical backend platform supporting $100MM+ revenue and driving our core guest experience the less our guests know about this platform, the more seamless and enjoyable their experience is. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Technical Duties Develop and champion the platform architecture, standards, tools and capabilities. Support technical architecture design sessions to identify the right technologies that fit our needs Support the teams Agile & SDLC processes to ensure high-quality and timely feature delivery. Drive efforts to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our daily operations and release cycles, coordinating with other teams as needed. Align with product team to support and oversee the development backlog to meet business commitments. Manage day-to-day tactical team operations Leadership Duties Develop a team of high performing software engineering professionals across engineering, architecture, standards, and governance, using both full time resources and contractors Develop team members professional capabilities through performance management, soft skills management, and technical skillsets. Drive the technical roadmap and strategy by fostering relationships with key stakeholders in Enterprise Data, IT Operations & Infrastructure, Digital and Marketing. Achieve business goals by fostering innovation and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future solutions. Partner with engineering peers in the development of our enterprise architecture, best practices, and operating models. Manage day-to-day functions of team such as time approval, expense approval, and recurring meetings. Manage relationship with external vendors and systems to provide data, ensure standards, meet security requirements, and enable business partners Create and manage project budget, scope and delivery plans to ensure on-time and in-budget delivery Monitor all non-fixed costs including contractors and cloud services Direct the development, implementation and enterprise wide adoption of tools, systems, and processes designed to support the organizations information and data needs. Perform other duties as assigned EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelors degree required Experience: 10+ years designing, building, deploying and operating enterprise-scale applications and services 5+ years developing & managing a team of highly performant software engineers 5+ years in technical development / engineering roles 5+ years executing and growing SDLC concepts including application lifecycle management, release management, and continuous delivery. 3+ years proven experience developing, deploying, and maturing devops capabilities. 3+ years serving as technology architect in an enterprise environment with multiple engineering teams and systems; areas of focus should include API, Identity, SOA, message brokering, and domain designs. Experience designing, building, and deploying cloud-based capabilities (Azure-preferred); cloud security (accounts, users, groups, roles); logging and monitoring; lambdas and functions; data versioning and life cycle management; infrastructure-as-code. Proven verbal, presentation, and written communications skills across technical, non-technical, and senior management audiences The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc. salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc.s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
