Ambri, an energy company commercializing an innovative battery technology first developed at MIT, is seeking a full-time Engineering Technician I/II. This individual will work on the cell development team and report to the Principal Engineer & Operations Manager.
Physical installation of R&D and commercial scale battery cells
Assisting test engineers with cell performance monitoring
Following standard operating procedures and safety protocols
Assisting with performing preventative and reactive maintenance of cell testing equipment and infrastructure
Actively participating in the lab safety and improvement program
Strong desire to complete both hands-on and computer-based tasks promptly and correctly
Comfort and familiarity in a laboratory or industrial work environment
Good general computer skills. Ability to assist with computer related programs and tasks
Previous experience with basic TIG welding or willingness to learn basic TIG welding skills
Excellent attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization
Capable of working both independently, and as part of a fast-moving team
Provide clear communication of technical information and other feedback to colleagues
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Experience with electrical wiring and/or basic computer programming are a plus
