Everett,Washington,United States 6F4BP1 The BR&T (Boeing Research & Technology) Manufacturing Technology Integration Commercial team is seeking an entry level Material & Process Composite Engineer. This position is located in Everett, Washington and requires domestic and international travel (up to 25%) to support qualifications at external supplier facilities. The successful candidate will interface effectively with multiple disciplines within Boeing and external suppliers. Gathers information and assists with the definition of requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes used in the engineering design, manufacture and/or maintenance of Boeing products. Job Responsibilities:
  • Drafts and incorporates changes to specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of materials, parts and processes
  • Performs tests to qualify new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet requirements Performs routine tests and audits to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements
  • Conducts analysis to determine performance or reasons for failures of tools, materials, parts or processes. Assists in implementing corrective and preventive actions. Assists in implementing corrective and preventive actions
  • Uses project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements. Incorporates environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes, (2) research, design and qualification, (3) work procedures and (4) labs and office areas
  • Participate in various emerging technology projects to develop new and innovative materials and processes to improve production quality, safety, and reduce production costs and flows

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
  • Required Qualifications:
  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • Domestic and International travel is required (up to 25%)
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS in Materials Science and Engineering or other related engineering discipline
  • Experience conducting failure analysis and RCCA (Root Cause and Corrective Action)
  • Internship in related field
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others and in teams
