Family Motor Coaching

(Entry Level) Web Developer

Responsibilities will include Front End Web Design and maintenance as well as running and/or automating reports utilizing some intermediate level SQL queries and use of Excel. Potential for involvement in full stack web and data projects exists.

Education Level: Upperclassmen (who takes mostly night classes) in programming/IT declared major with 3.0 average or above in major studies or graduate in related major such as Computer Information Technology, Computer Science, or Data Science.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity in HTML5/CSS/bootstrap web design, example portfolio of classwork and/or independent projects are desirable.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel such as functions, filtering, and csv files for importing and exporting data.
  • Experience in programming. Experience with PHP, JavaScript, JQuery, C#, VB, and ASP.NET are helpful; however, transferable knowledge of other programming languages such as data structures, algorithms, and object oriented design are also desirable. Classwork counts as experience.
  • Some familiarity with MYSQL and/or SQL Server is desirable.
  • Strong and diligent problem solving skills are required. Ability to learn new things on the fly by researching new subjects on stack overflow or similar sites. Logic test might be given at interview.
  • What is needed the most here is not advanced expertise in programming languages or years of experience in technical skills, but a desire to succeed in I.T. and an ability to persevere and solve problems with the ability to learn as you go. This is a great opportunity to gain those elusive first years of experience that are required when you will find your niche in the IT field.

    Physical Demands:

    This position requires general good health and mobility commensurate with performing the above duties especially concerning visions, hearing, and mental functioning, and includes but is not limited to sitting, standing, use of telephone, keyboarding, stooping, bending, transporting/lifting (files and mail weighing up to approximately 50 lbs).
