Job Description

Position Overview: Responsible for the Fiscal & Human Resource operation of the Head Start program.

Qualifications: Certified Public Accountant or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, business, fiscal management, or related field and experience required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

*Assures the accurate and consistent recording and reporting of financial data

  • Tracking contracts and spending trends
  • Oversees In-Kind and administrative costs
  • Monitors the procurement, maintenance, insurance and inventory of program assets
  • Reports to the Director and board members through monthly financial statements and meetings
  • Submits all required reports in an accurate and timely manner
  • Works with program auditor
  • *Oversees the maintenance of Personnel Records

    *Oversees fiscal part of health care program and other fringe benefit plans

    *Oversees payroll processing BI-weekly and monitors quarterly payroll tax reports due.

    *Manages and directs activities of Account Clerk by training, tracking progress and assuming the duties of the Account Clerk during absences

    *Reporting of Workers Comp., Disability, Unemployment & Employment Verification Claims

    *Meets with Executive Director to prepare grant and supplemental grant applications

    *Updates fiscal procedures as necessitated by changing program needs or changing requirements

    *Obtains authorized signatures on checks and reports as necessary

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: $45,000.00 to $50,000.00 /year
