Job Description

The Financial Manager will proactively procure financial information from various sources and analyze it for better understanding of how operational budgets and finances are performing. This role requires a collaborative, goal-oriented, and solution-based approach to successfully manage a wide range of assigned critical accounting projects while meeting time sensitive objectives and deadlines.

The Financial Manager works under the general direction of the Controller.

Detailed Description:

  • Perform Data Analytics and business partnering
  • Implement effective financial controls and drive accountability within the organization
  • Prepare, consolidate, and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc) aligned to company’s goals and financial standing
  • Ensure overall quality of the data and solutions throughout the analytic development process
  • Interpret financial results and communicate them to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials
  • Assist in working capital management
  • Collaborate on special projects as assigned
  • Performs other related duties as required or deemed necessary
  • Job Requirements:

  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge in Excel
  • Experience using designer tools to create or modify reports with the understanding of queries, filters and data views
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of individuals
  • Ability to communicate with Information Technology professionals and with software designers
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret standard policies, general business and professional journals, technical procedures, and financial documents
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively, think strategically and translate concepts into action plans and track results
  • Ability to build engaging relationships at all levels of the organization as well as with customers
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously to meet challenging deadlines
  • Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in accounting
  • S. in Business, Accounting or related four-year degree
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Lean Six Sigma and process improvement experience
  • Previous experience in financial accounting for manufacturing
  • Additional Details:

    This job requires the ability to work under time-sensitive deadlines and maintain a calm and professional demeanor when adversity is encountered. It also requires the physical ability to work in office environment including the ability to sit for long periods of time while performing office or computer tasks. The job may require some overtime including weekend or holidays. All applicants must be able to commit to a full-time schedule.
