Health Images is looking for a Full Time Bilingual Patient Care Coordinator for our South Denver location.
Schedule is Monday through Friday 10:30am to 7:00pm with an occasional Saturday.

Summary/Objective:

The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) is the first to interact with our patients, creating a friendly, caring culture with exceptional service. The PCC is a key contributor to the company’s scheduling optimization and cancellation reduction efforts. Schedules and facilitates communication between the Centers and their prospective patients. Serves as a support function for the entire region and is critical in the success of getting patients scheduled and seen in a timely manner. Supports company initiatives by adopting new approaches, practices, and processes to deliver unmistakable quality, spectacular service, and operational excellence on a consistent basis. This position is in a call center environment away from the centers.

Essential Functions

  • Works through the Scheduler Grid to pre-register and schedule patients (inbound & outbound calls).

  • Ensures all queues are processed in a timely and efficient manner while adhering to all process and compliance requirements.

  • Conducts functions of position in a collaborative, friendly, and empathetic way when dealing with patients, physicians, and co-workers.

  • Conducts pre-registration and clinical screening. Asks all screening questions to ensure ease of obtaining insurance authorizations and communicates to patient the status of their authorization and/or denials as needed.

  • Communicates benefit and payment options to patient along with providing exam expectations.

  • Utilizes the Communication Grid to conduct appointment reminders & confirmations.

  • Reschedules and cancels appointments as needed.

  • Supports Authorization team by gaining access to information from the patient and/or physician in order to obtain authorization in a timely fashion.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervision responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a call center environment away from the outpatient clinical environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk and hear.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

  • Three plus years’ experience in customer service – healthcare environment preferred

  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player

  • Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately

  • Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment

  • Ability to continuously “exceed company and customer expectation

  • Strong communication skills & professional demeanor

Education/Certifications:

Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
