GDC 2019: Visual Arts Sony PlayStation's Talent Acquisition team is hosting interviews at GDC 2019 in San Francisco, CA! CURRENT Visual Arts OPPORTUNITIES (San Diego, CA) Animator 3D Character animator to work on the cinematics cinematic storytelling of our current project. Focused heavily on lip sync/dialog and emotions, we're looking for someone with strong Maya experience, MotionBuilder a big plus. Lead/Senior VFX Artist Talented, highly motivated and creative Senior/Lead FX Artist who will help create the highest-quality game FX possible. Must have portfolio of photo-realistic, high-quality, real-time FX work, with mastery of standard art packages like Maya and Photoshop. Thorough understanding of shader techniques as applied to VFX required; Python, C++, Premier/After Effects, or Houdini experience a major plus. Lead/Senior Character TD Experienced Character TD/Rigger with expert Maya and Python rigging/scripting skills and strong knowledge of anatomy and realistic deformation. Must have games production experience, and understand character/prop rigging techniques and principles. Cloth setup experience and/or C++/Maya API is a major plus. Lead/Senior Blendshape Artist Responsible for bringing highly-realistic faces to life for both cinematic and in-game sequences. Must have strong understanding of Maya and use of blend shapes, experience with facial rigging, sculpting in Zbrush, Mudbox, etc., and solid grasp of realistic human anatomy with special emphasis of the head/face. Pluses: Experience with- Facial Action Coding System, Blendshape Combo System plug-in, and/or Perforce. Lead Shader Artist Highly experienced Shader or Look-Dev Artist responsible for leading a team of shader artists to deliver AAA quality game shaders. 1+ year(s) in Lead or Supervisor role on a film/AAA game, 1+ AAA title(s) as Senior, Lead or Supervisor, portfolio of realistic, high-quality and real-time shader work, with mastery of stand art packages such as Maya and Photoshop. Experience with Unreal and Unity, Python scripting, and/or C++ programming a huge plus. Senior Character Artist 3D Character Artist with a portfolio of realistic, highly detailed character models with highly realistic textures (skins, care, fabric, etc.), ideally with scan experience. Expert at Maya, Photoshop, Zbrush, Substance Designer. Photogrammetry a huge plus. Must have at least 2 shipped AAA titles. Senior Environment Artist 3D Environment Artist with an understanding of environment storytelling and in-game cinematic art asset creation. Advanced understanding of Maya and Zbrush, or Mudbox required. Ideally with Material/Substance Designer skills, and strong aesthetic experience. Must have at least 2 shipped AAA titles. Senior Technical Game Designer Senior Game Designer with working experience in the following programming and scripting language(s): Python, LUA, C# and/or C++), with prvious experience shipping a 3rd person action game. Must have Computer Science degree. Console programming experience, Maya experience, or familiarity with Lisp programming language a plus.
