Job Description

Position Purpose: The Human Resource Assistant is responsible for supporting HR-related and other administrative duties. This role works closely to support senior management by providing administrative support in the following functional areas: recruitment, on-boarding, file and records management, and other administrative support as requested.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure data integrity in HRIS (ADP) systems.
  • Daily maintenance of HRIS systems: entering new employees and updating employee information, Benefits Enrollments, etc.
  • Provide highly confidential administrative support for all HR functions.
  • Perform a variety of general office support duties including, but not limited to: making copies, faxing documents, assisting with various events, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Manage department calendars, answer phones, and coordinate interviews and related logistics for the department.
  • Maintain master employee database to ensure accuracy
  • Assists with the competition of the employee weekly schedule.
  • Organize, maintain, create and updates lists, files and databases that may be sensitive, confidential or technical in nature.
  • Compose and type letters, memoranda, and other correspondence as assigned.
  • Distributing weekly and monthly reports to supervisor and managers.
  • Maintain historical Human Resource records by filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records.
  • Complies with federal, state and company policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Maintain several HR spreadsheets related to unemployment, workers compensation, LOA, ect.
  • Assist employees with ADP navigation for first time enrollments and annual Open Enrollment, reset employee passwords, etc.
  • Additional Responsibilities:

  • Process and submit Genwear orders
  • Complete employment verification forms as needed
  • Prepare and complete termination paperwork
  • Create, implement and maintain streamlined processes and written procedures
  • Assist with various special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications:

    Education: Associate’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources or a related field.

    Experience: 1 year of administrative or human resources experience is required

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Flexible team player, who is receptive to change, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and has a cooperative approach to problem solving.
  • Time management and organizational skills required in order to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Computer literate, with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, as well as a high level of initiative in keeping current with technological change. Willingness to expand computer skills as requested.
  • Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: $13.00 to $14.00 /hour

  • Human Resources: 1 year (Preferred)
