The system is a not-for-profit and has over 300 physicians and multiple outpatient care centers throughout the area.
The system is the largest provider in a six county region and a primary referral center.
It offers a higher level of service than what is typically found in a community of its size including open-heart surgery, trauma care, a Level II neonatal intermediate care unit, neurosurgery and
comprehensive cancer services.

Responsible for the assessment, analysis, design, development and implementation of complex computer applications and software systems.
Manages the support and troubleshooting of complex custom developed software systems and continually improving operations and systems to support the needs of the enterprise.
Manages projects, conducts detailed analysis and evaluations, analyzes, designs, develops, and maintains queries/reports, documents, complex computer applications, programs, and procedures that provide solutions for business requirements or to solve business problems.
-Applies independent judgment, discretion and analysis in coordinating, developing and designing complex computerized information system solutions.
-Defines and develops practical information system specifications utilizing current toolsets and methodologies.
-Conceives, creates, develops and establishes new programming techniques, methods, procedures, approaches and standards working with advanced applications system design techniques and methodologies.
-Confers with customers and studies effectiveness of system flow, data usage and manual or automated processes to identify effective or inefficient systems.
-Communicates and coordinates with customers during the analysis, definition and development phases.
-Determines the economic and operational feasibility of using systems to satisfy information needs and presents proposals for new systems or the enhancement, improvement and/or replacement of existing systems.
-Maintains awareness of state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, problem solving techniques and technology solutions.
-Participates in consulting like engagements with customers to define system needs, system analysis and detailed system design.
-Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new policies and procedures need to be developed.
-Utilizes programming, documentation standards and methodologies as defined by IS and helps set future standards, techniques and methodologies.
-Understands and learns user functions in detail as well as the organization and role of the functions in the enterprise.
-Prepares test data and full test plans with assistance from all staff involved.
-Actively engages and participates in the investigation, evaluation, consulting, systems analysis, design and management of the systems and system projects.
-Develops, manages, and verifies complete project requirements, project timelines, detailed specifications, work plans and project resources without direct supervision.
-Analyzes current business functions and processes to be automated and formulates a plan for automation.
-Develops project benefit (impact analysis) and recommends alternative solutions if appropriate.
-Analyzes complex data and has the aptitude to select from a range of alternatives to determine appropriate action(s) to be taken.
-Works with all vendors to resolve issues/problems in a timely manner.
-Provides on-call support and troubleshooting via phone, remote dial-in or on-site if necessary.
-Reads all organization/department communications (i.e. newsletters, minutes, memos, etc.) as well as attends 75% of the monthly department meetings.
-Remains current on information technology principles, concepts, practices and technologies.
-Demonstrates the ability to make resourceful decisions, carefully weighing all alternatives and foreseeing the consequences before taking action.
-Implements, maintains and follows established security measures and protocols.
-Executes the details of each interface or system integration project.
-Codes interfaces and configures engine according to documented specifications.
-Supports all project team members with application and information systems knowledge
-Primary resource dedicated to designing, building, testing, and activating the application database.
-Develops and maintains models and documentation of business and system requirements and configures system accordingly.
-Documents and maintains all required system design and build documents.
-Contributes to preparation of testing scripts and materials and performs unit, system, and integrated testing tasks.
-Works with training team to develop application specific training curriculums and materials.
-Demonstrates proficiency in all hardware/software required to perform the job
-Effectively utilizes project tools, technologies and methodologies to provide clear and concise documentation/communication (i.e. project tracking, weekly reports, etc.).
-Subscribes to relevant technology information channels to stay informed of security vulnerabilities.
-Proactively assesses potential items of risk and opportunities of vulnerability in the network.
-Associates degree in computer science, Bachelors preferred.
-Five years of experience in programming, analysis, design, development and project management or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
-Has an understanding of Agile Project Management methodologies and willing to apply those to new development project.
-Epic certification in Bridges and Data Courier Administration must be obtained within six months of the hire or transfer date.
-Epic Certification in the administration of the Cogito suite of Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse Tools.
-Experience with rapid prototyping and other design/development methodologies that deliver work products and solutions quickly.
-Experience with SSIS and SSAS with prior experiencing maintaining OLAP cubes or equivalent experience.
-Strong time management, organization and prioritization skills. Ability to work independently and without direct supervision.
-Experience with XML, CSS, Java and VB Scripting.
-Has an understanding and working knowledge of HL7, X12, EDI standards.
-Working knowledge of C#, , SQL, SSIS, Java, and Crystal Reports
-Working knowledge of standard communication protocols including TCP/IP, DICOM.
-Working knowledge of Object Oriented Programming concepts, relational data bases and development lifecycle.
-Experience working in multi-tier client server environments including Windows and UNIX operating systems.
Position is located east of Columbus.
The Director is well respected and added a few other things of note to the position:
-Person will coordinate the integration of lab instruments using Data Innovations Connectivity solution. Will need to travel to Vermont for training on the DIs Instrument Manager will be required in preparation for the Epic Beaker implementation.
-Person will be Using Orion Rhapsody Interface Engine to integrate with multiple instances of Instrument Manager.
-Person will be Providing after-hours on-call support for EDI alerts and providing rapid response to issues occurring.
-Person will need to become certified(if not already) in Epic Bridges in the first six-months of employment. Travel to Madison, Wisconsin or virtual training will be required and a certification exam.
-Person will be providing analytics support between Lab and the IT Analytics Team.
-Person will need to become familiar with and/or a subject matter expert in Epic Slicer-Dicer, Reporting Workbench and other Epic self-service analytics tool.
The pay depends on experience but the range is between 70K-95K plus a full benefit package.
