IT Support Analyst

Location: Dothan, AL

Direct Hire: Salary $35,000 - $45,000 (based on experience)

Hours: M-F, 3rd shift from 11:00pm to 7:00am


The IT Support Analyst is responsible for problem discovery and resolution on a wide variety of user environments, equipment, and applications. Hardware includes personal computers, thin clients, iSeries, printers, MFP devices, communications, mobile devices, and networking equipment but, is not limited to only the above-mentioned equipment. Software and OS includes Windows OS, Windows applications and 3rd party vendor applications running on multiple platforms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Hardware troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Windows software troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Collaborating between support levels to troubleshoot issues that are impacting the business, customers (internal or external) and/or vendors.
  • Thorough documentation of all tickets utilizing the ticket management system
  • Evaluate and test new business solutions, hardware and software as needed.
  • Qualifications

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • 1-3 years of experience troubleshooting, maintaining, documenting, and administering information systems in a multi-site enterprise environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Technologies including Windows Desktop, Office product and Server OS.
  • Education and/or Experience

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field is preferred
  • 1 to 3 years Technical Support experience or a minimum of 5 years’ in a technical support environment dealing with complex hardware / software technologies.
