CAD Designer- Green Lake Jewelry Works

Are you an obsessed CAD modeler and just want to design the coolest jewelry possible? Do you want to work with industry leading design programs, mills and growers? Green Lake was founded on the idea that artistry should be in the forefront, and our open workshop is home to some of the nation’s most talented designers and jewelers who craft each piece by hand with genuine care. We’re now accepting resumes and portfolios from jewelry designers with a specialty in CAD who want to be at a collaborative, challenging and exciting shop to hone their craft.   • Interpret, build, render and produce precise 3D jewelry models from rough sketches by other designers
  • Effectively communicate with fellow designers to create custom jewelry to meet client needs
  • Work cohesively with the production team and lend a high attention to each project to ensure pieces are created correctly
  • Perform efficiently within specific timeframes and consistently meet imperative deadlines
  • Prepare, operate and maintain state-of-the-art CNC milling and 3D printing machines
  • Contribute to special projects for merchandising, marketing and web development

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, fine art related degree OR equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of minimum experience in 3D modeling custom fine jewelry.
  • Proficiency in Rhino with familiarity of Matrix a must, ability in V-Ray and Zbrush a plus
  • Milling and/or 3D printing experience needed, specifically with Solidscape, B9 or REVO
  • Obsessive work ethic and an ability to communicate clearly
  • Strong desire to be part of a dynamic team and willingness to learn new skills
  • Technical understanding of setting and other jewelry bench skills
  • Ability to execute complex work under pressure
  • Self motivated with high attention to detail
  • Required experience:

  • CAD, mill and 3D printing experience: 3+
