Junior Data Analyst- SQL Programmer

BYL Companies is seeking a Junior Data Analyst to become an integral part of our technology operations team! The ideal candidate will be working closely with both Senior/Junior Analysts to help maintain databases, incorporate new data retrieved, and create reports. We are seeking someone with functional database skills to create data sets, stand up tables, producing sets & queries Data Analyst will have strong problem solving and time management skills, and must be a self-starter who is able to work both independently and in a group environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Creating, distributing and developing reports for internal and external customers.
  • SQL knowledge, and the ability to develop reports in SSRS and Tableau.
  • Analyzing reports, trending data and communicating any outliers to the Vice president of Operations
  • Completing data reconciliations for each key client and will be responsible for seeing each reconcilable item through to completion. The DA will be responsible for trending and reporting out on all reconcilable items.
  • Creating new jobs using in house software. This requires basic knowledge of database structures and business rules.
  • Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in business intelligence, analysis, or another related field
  • Significant experience particularly in desktop data analysis tools including Excel, Tableau and SSRS
  • Experience and proficiency with common, popular database technologies including SQL Server,
  • Demonstrated experience in gathering complex reporting requirements, designing and implementing insightful Visualization Solutions (Reports, Dashboards, Metrics,)
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong desire to learn and an inquisitive mind
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Bachelors preferred in the Computer Science or business-related fields or related experience
