Machine Operator/Technician

Job Description

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating machinery and ensuring the proper working order of all machinery throughout the facility. The Machine Operator/Technician will ensure proper operating specifications in the manufacturing process by maintaining and correcting equipment on a regular basis. The Machine Operator/Technician will also help in various other manufacturing processes as needed.

Reports to: Plant Manager; Production Manager

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Operates machinery in a safe and efficient manner
  • Does weekly checks and maintenance on machinery for continued proper working condition.
  • Troubleshoots any malfunction of machinery and provides solutions to prevent and correct malfunctions.
  • Checks and monitors fire extinguishers through weekly and monthly schedules for inspection by fire department.
  • Assists in other production areas
  • Cleans & Organizes
  • Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Some technical experience required.
  • Experience in machinery and power tools
  • Experience in working with electricity (120/240 AC)
  • Able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Able to read and interpret blue prints and schematics on machinery and electrical components
