Job Description

Pond seeks experienced Mechanical Engineers to join our winning design teams located in our Peachtree Corners, Georgia Headquarters office. With continued growth, we seek to fill multiple openings within our Mechanical team serving building systems design engineering. Our projects serve clients in local and federal government, corporate and industrial sectors. Our mechanical engineers work alongside a full service multi discipline team of professionals in a fast paced passionate environment of dedicated and talented engineers, architects, planners and construction employees delivering comprehensive design consulting to our program managers who provide project management services to our customers.

Job Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 4-8 years of experience in mechanical engineering design, preferably in a consulting environment. Candidates must have a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology with a proven understanding of applied engineering. Candidates with their Professional Engineer (PE) license will be given greater consideration. This opportunity is ideal for engineers who wish to grow their career with a firm dedicated to individual professional growth in an environment centered on team participation. Considerations must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; and be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit / BIM required.

Additional job skills that would enhance a candidates standing include: the ability to estimate general energy usage for facilities and how various energy users play into the overall efficiency and LEED standards; a strong knowledge of control systems, communication protocols and interfaces, and ideas on how to depict control requirements on drawings and in specifications. Experience running energy simulations for buildings, both conceptually and later for LEED/EPAct proof of compliance, will be given greater consideration. Field experience, as it relates to SMACNA, duct and pipe supports, smoke and fire damper installations, and equipment layouts, is also desired. Experience with RS Means, and general exposure to construction estimating, is preferred. Commissioning experience is a plus.
