Job Description

A new pediatric medical practice is looking for a fun and friendly group of staff ready to work diligently to the growth of the practice. Additionally, a candidate would need to have the ability to think and react to events effectively and swiftly. Computer literacy and active current certifications are required.

Receptionist

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

❏Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner

❏Answer phones, scan, fax and other typical clerical tasks

❏Schedule appointments, register patients, confirm insurance eligibility, collect demographic information, enroll patients in patient portal

❏Perform billing and bookkeeping functions including collecting cash and credit card payments, posting and balancing daily sheets of transactions

QUALIFICATIONS:

❏Previous medical receptionist experience or background in general office work ❏Comprehend established office routines and policies

❏Comprehend both oral and written communications

❏Ability to keep financial records and perform mathematical tasks

❏Knowledge of medical terminology

❏Understand the ethics of confidentiality ❏Minimum of one year in customer service industry

Medical Assistant

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

❏Obtain chief complaint and vitals

❏Administer vaccines and medication as ordered by provider

❏Relay instructions to patient as determined by provider

❏Schedule studies to be performed outside of office

❏Authorize prescription refills per protocol

❏Keep rooms stocked with adequate and appropriate supplies

❏Collect, prepare and run laboratory specimens

❏Venipuncture and digital sticks

❏Assist clinician with office procedures

❏Medical Scribe duties a possible opportunity

❏Recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols ❏Receive patient phone calls and perform basic triage

❏Document work processes in medical record as required

❏Maintain work area, exam rooms, supplies, and medications.

❏Keep inventory of medical and office supplies as required. Notify health care provider if supplies are low.

❏Provide administrative support during administrative staff absence and/or as needed per provider discretion
