Job Description
: Our Records & Information Management (RIM) Office is responsible for maintaining a uniform global RIM program for the control, retention, storage, retrieval, and disposal of all records and information, regardless of media type, for all functions of The Boeing Company. This team of RIM professionals will support ongoing program operations and strategic initiatives to streamline and simplify the global RIM program. This position will be responsible for assisting in the administration of the Offsite Record Storage Service and associated contracted services. Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the RIM Program Manager specific responsibilities include:
  • Provide support in the operation of on-site and off-site physical records storage process, and make determinations and provide guidance on the proper transfer, storage, retention and destruction of records in compliance with company RIM program policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the development of processes, procedures and metrics related to the management of off-site physical record storage operations.
  • Assist with maintaining and supporting end-user utilization of Boeing RIM Program Offsite Record Storage Service operations. Assist end users with the enforcement of the enterprise retention schedule into offsite record storage operations.
  • Assist in the evaluation and strategy to simplify the management of company records and information.
  • Provide input into the development of the statement of work for Offsite vendor contract agreements and support supplier oversight, monitoring vendor invoices, research needs and performance.
  • Familiarity/experience with working in a global RIM operation including working knowledge of RIM industry tools including awareness of RIM and information governance industry field concepts, practices, and procedures standards.
  • Assist in the communication and end-user support of the Offsite Record Storage service, and assist with conducting general awareness/education.
  • Assist in coaching, training, and/or mentoring others in the lifecycle management of business records and information.
  • Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit: This position requires that you work out of Mesa, Arizona, St Louis Missouri or North Charleston, South Carolina. You must currently reside in the Mesa, Arizona, St Louis Missouri and North Charleston, South Carolina area (where relocating would not be required) or be willing to relocate at your own expense.   • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experienced and familiar with Project Management fundamentals
  • Records and Information Management (RIM) related experience
  • Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with document and records management.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience working with Records and Information Management systems, processes and tools.
  • Offsite record storage service experience
  • RIM Training and Education (pursuing or attained) RIM industry certification (CRM, IGP, etc.)
  • Good communication and technology skills are key to success in this job role
  • Typical Education / Experience: Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
