Job Summary:

Assist in numerous areas of the Mortgage Department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Data entry of mortgage application information to loan origination system
  • Assisting Loan Officers with file documentation
  • Liaison between Loan Officer and processor
  • Protecting secured information of borrower at all times
  • Promotes honest and open communication throughout the credit union.
  • Demonstrate behaviors that are consistent with the credit union’s values, philosophies, and leadership characteristics.
  • Monitor mortgage email inboxes
  • Assist in mail distribution
  • Upload and distribute mortgage leads
  • Manage duplicates and lead management clean up
  • Order title quotes
  • Collecting and documenting adverse action for disclosure
  • Review purchase contracts and enter pertinent information into point of sale system
  • Review title information and obtain accurate pricing
  • Run multiple mortgage insurance company quotes to get the best price available for the member
  • Clone applications and enter paper applications
  • Review documents received and confirm all documents needed to submit to processing.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong data entry abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet software and ability to use word processing software.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Must be able to be bonded.
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage lending processes and practices
  • Must be strong at handling multiple tasks

Education and Experience Requirements:

Entry Level position with minimal of high school education or equivalent. Mortgage knowledge preferred but not required.

Working Conditions:

This position is expected to work in general office environment. In this position, individual will be expected to lift up to 20 pounds from time to time. Also, must be able to stoop, bend, reach, or stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time.
