Network Test Engineer -Contract Role in Brooklyn, NY Our client is seeking a Test Engineer who will support the systems level testing. Responsibilities Develops and maintains current test plans and the test procedures used to qualify the product. Assists in creating and setup up of test equipment and the preparation of the equipment to be tested. Lead a team of highly technical SVT Engineers providing both support and technical oversight enabling team members to be successful in the execution of assigned tasks. Provide technical leadership in the development, specification, implementation maintenance of various test environments to include functional, regression, compliance on all productsreleases. Work with other technical leads to establish and document product test requirements and performance goals. Conduct and or attend bug review meetings with test Engineers, development primes, Product Management and Senior Management as necessary. Drives the execution of system integration and verification test plans as well as provides RD support and system level 3 support and troubleshooting for the Companyrsquos mission critical VoIP system infrastructure and product releases. Provides on-call customer support for critical customer escalated issues. Uses defined and approved test tools and scripts necessary to accomplish integration and test activities. Develops test strategy and test planning documents. Conducts reviews and audits addressing quality aspects at various points in the testing cycle. Ability to be hands-on in conducting verification testing, including features, reliability and performance tests. Documents and maintains test results. Ensures test plans and procedures conform to department policies and processes. Requirements BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent combination of education and related work experience. Minimum of 3 years experience as a Field Engineer in the company or a comparable company. 1 to 2 years of experience in implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting Firewalls, Cisco and HP switched networks, Cisco routed networks. Desired 5+ year(s) experience installing, testing and verification of MS Windows based software 2+ year(s) programming experience using current industry tools such as Visual Basic andor Visual C 5+ years experience in applying principles of quality assurance to products under development Certified in ITIL v3 Fundamentals MCSE and VCP or CCNP
