NPI Production Quality Engineer

Job Description
Role Summary:The NPI Production Quality Engineer will be involved with the product quality review associated with the NPI (New Product Introduction) manufacturing processes. Positions requiring understanding of a concepts, methods and procedures Essential Responsibilities:
  • Works closely with Lynn Component Manufacturing (LCM) Value Process Engineering (VPE) group to develop initial quality planning and methods for New Product Introductions from development to production run environment
  • Planning to include verifying conformance to specification through review and authorization of planning including: measuring and testing methods, equipment during in-house manufacturing, SPS development, product inspections and witness points to control quality for items from external suppliers
  • Executes routine analyses using methods and technologies and/or contributes to technological developments in teams under supervision
  • Works together with people from the business unit
  • Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards collecting or giving technical information
  • Works within a team setting and / or under guidance
  • Executing routine, and in some cases, complex analysis
  • Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing).
  • Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Production Quality or Manufacturing.
  • Desired Characteristics:
  • Technical Bachelor s degree strongly preferred, but not required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams
  • Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills
  • Proven analytical and organizational ability
