Parking TechnicianStart Date: ASAPPay: $14.42-16.34 / Hour DOEFull Time w/ Benefits (PTO, Health / Dental)Non-ExemptJob Description:Come join one of the fastest growing companies in Richmond. We are seeking a Parking Controls Technician to ensure parking environments are functioning correctly in a safe and reliable manner. This position requires troubleshooting skills, ability to learn quickly, and work independently. Must be able to discuss issues and solutions with customers in a friendly and professional manner. Primary Responsibilities
  • Ensuring that parking kiosks and access control equipment are operating properly.
  • Following checklists for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual protocols.
  • Programming and configuring kiosks and access control equipment as necessary.
  • Responsible for training enforcement and maintenance staff on kiosk troubleshooting.
  • Addressing issues and alerts as necessary, including during off shift hours.
  • Contacting service providers as necessary. Being familiar with maintenance agreements and warranties. Properly logging issues and following up to resolve loose ends.
  • Assisting with supervision of third parties for repairs and installations.
  • Perform lighting audits and conducting repairs as necessary.
  • Qualifications
  • 1-2 years experience in a general maintenance environment required
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and understanding of wiring
  • Light maintenance and troubleshooting is required
  • Technical training through previous employment or a technical college in electrical repair and computer repair.
  • Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with co-workers and customers and write clearly and informatively.
  • Positive attitude at all times, especially when reposnding to requests for service and assistance.
  • Must be able to adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events.
  • Exhibits sound and accurate judgement.
  • Must be able to meet physical demands of job including working for long stretches of standing and/or walking; able to lift 50 pounds; and perform tasks, such as shoveling snow.
  • High School Diploma or a combination of experience and education required.
  • Must have access to a personal vehicle and acceptable DMV record.
