SUMMARY

Freeman is seeking a Coordinator - Union Benefits to process union benefits payments weekly and monthly. Work directly with the branch personnel and the IT team to update system with contract changes. Test and verify data within the system is processing as required by the CBAs. Additional duties include:

  • Calculate and process union benefit remittances
  • Handle and coordinate correspondence with a variety of customers (Union, Branch, etc…)
  • Read and understand contracts
  • Update and maintain the system for union contract requirements such as pay rates and benefits
  • Maintain compliance reporting for labor union agreements
  • Assist with union audits
  • Assist the branches with union related issues and audits
  • Research contract inquiries
  • Assist with payroll processing functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 3 years payroll experience
  • Minimum of 3 years union benefit payment processing experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excel high level experience
  • SAP payroll
  • Proven knowledge of complex payroll related transactions and understanding of impacts on other areas such as union compliance, benefits, garnishments, working technical knowledge of HR/Payroll software.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven detail orientation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to take initiative to successfully complete assignments by utilizing all available resources such as online resource tools.
  • Demonstrated customer service

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or GED
