Provide Wellness and Recovery groups/activities to peers to develop peer cohesiveness, engagement, and social support. Services provide rehabilitation and support to individuals to develop and enhance community and independent living skills. Services are provided on and/or off site at Common Ground Wellness Center and/or other appropriate locations in the community, according to peers’ needs and schedules may include evenings and weekends.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
1. Competencies: Organizational and time management. Ability to establish rapport and to assist peers to identify his or her own needs (i.e., self-care skills, social skills, independent living skills, medication management, health- mental and somatic, entitlements, and vocational)
2. Education: High school Diploma required. Certified Peer Support Workers and Certified Wellness Recovery Specialists preferred. BA/BS in Human Service and/or related work experience preferred.
3. Language and Communication Skills: Good oral and written communication.
4. Technical Skills: CPR/First Aid, Infection Control, Food Safety and Handling, and Crisis Intervention/Suicidal Protocol. A current, valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance (which meets minimum MD state requirements).
