Job Description

Providence is calling a Population Health/Government Programs Director (Hospital Administration, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. In this position you will:

  • Work collaboratively with leadership, clinicians and others to successfully develop, implement, use, and evaluate population health initiatives designed for governmental programs and payers.

  • Obtain data and review and analyze monthly reports on operational and clinical measures; identify and recommend improvements to achieve optimal utilization and to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the model.

  • Serve as a content expert on population health programs involving governmental payers or programs.

  • Participate in Enterprise wide efforts to implement programs to monitor and improve the performance in all Population Health and Government programs across the AK Region.

  • Track quality and metric scoring for each program.

  • Direct reporting as needed to fulfill program requirements and monitor performance.

  • Report to region executives on the performance of governmental programs.

  • Report to region executives on the performance of governmental programs.

  • Work with regional informatic contact, Epic team and department managers to answer any questions from providers and clinicians.

  • Run detail reports and drill down to specific data to determine areas for improvement.

  • Report to service area executives and leaders on performance of all hospitals and/or providers as well as upcoming changes within government programs.

  • Provide data and reporting to governmental clients which illustrates and supports the value proposition.

  • Work with regional informatics partners to obtain needed data and information.

  • Participates/leads, in conjunction with other region leaders, annual strategic planning for governmental programs and payers.

  • Drive Population Health initiatives in the AK service area working collaboratively across the region.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree BA or BS

  • Ten (10) years experience in government sponsored health programs

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master s Degree in MBA, MPH, MHA or equivalent
