Brief Description of the OrganizationCBNA is the primary legal entity for Citi, providing products and services to consumers, financial institutions and corporate clients around the world. In the past, Citi has provided most of its internal reporting on a business by business basis. With the changes in the regulatory environment, strong legal entity reporting and governance has become essential. This team is responsible for ensuring that CBNA has the appropriate governance and control infrastructure to meet the demand for legal entity planning, execution, information management and the ever-evolving regulatory environment.Description of the PositionCandidate should develop and deepen client relationships to thoroughly understand the client situation and develop tailored wealth management strategies. Add value to sophisticated clients and the intermediaries representing them.Build and draw upon a network of internal resources, often global, to achieve results for clients; oversee development of tailored and/or complex products.Develop and adapt a disciplined sales process to convert a robust pipeline of prospects into target market clients.Develop expertise in global in financial markets and products and apply to clients portfolios and needs.Deliver quality Private Bank client relationships (solutions and services) in a intensely competitive, fragmented market, taking fullest advantage of the Citibank franchise. Effectively access product expertise on behalf of clients.Protect the Bank and client by complying with relevant policies, procedures, and country legal/regulatory requirements; effectively communicate client risks so the customer fully understands. New Client Business DevelopmentCreate and organize a sales plan designed to acquire new target clients - Generate leads and grow the business through active calling. Collaborate with other Citibankers to identify target market clients. Identify, prospect, convert and service high net worth individuals by utilizing proven sales techniques. Manage a focused sales process. Understand customer, market and product risks and opportunities.Profile and qualify prospective clients, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. - Determine prospect needs; interview client to determine assets, liabilities, cash flow, insurance coverage, tax status, and financial objectives. Analyze client s financial status, develop financial plan based of data and discuss financial options with client. Identify and present insightful ideas and solutions to convert prospects to clients. Develop and implement client wealth management strategy.Successfully get referrals and convert prospects to clients - Close the business. Relationship ManagementCreate, organize and implement a wealth management strategy designed to deepen relationships with existing clients.Identify potential sales opportunities with existing clients; actively manage and deepen the client relationship. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements in keeping with the policies of the Private Bank. -Proactively analyze client needs; identify value added opportunities, and in coordination with select product specialist, structure creative solutions, negotiate terms, determine pricing, and document standards an complex transactions. Offer full array of appropriate products to meet clients needs.Assemble and orchestrate appropriate client team to serve clients. Formulate client strategies and orchestrate appropriate specialist resources to identify and present insightful ideas and solutions for clients. Maintain contact with client to revise plan based on modified needs of client or changes in investment markets.Ensure that client is acceptable for the Private Bank and meets all Know Your Client regulations. Assure that all products discussed and offered to the client are suitable.Maintain access to and credibility with clients as a trusted financial advisor. Handle inquiries and resolve problems whenever contacted by client.Act as back up to other designated Private Bankers Qualifications
  • Multi-year experience in Private Banking or the affluent market segment.
  • Experience in working with and/or leading client teams.
  • Demonstrated track record in relationship selling.
  • Experience in integrating and balancing diverse priorities.
  • Experience in selling new products, based on client need.
  • Experience in working on teams and influencing diverse resources.
  • Knowledge
  • Knowledge of many products including investments, investment finance, trust and fiduciary, banking.
  • Minimally, a working knowledge of local markets and the financial market relevant to the client base.
  • Proficiency in using financial databases to service clients.
