Interior Designer/Project Manager

Job Description

Small high end residential and commercial design firm located in Financial District seeking a Interior Designer/Project Manager with 3-5 years experience in the field.


  • Manage project scheduling, budgets and set-up with sub-contractors, vendors and consultants
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Preparation of plans, elevations, sections and details
  • Responsible for keeping the project, or a phase of a project, on schedule
  • Creating presentations and presentation boards for clients
  • Render conceptual design ideas and prepare 2D and 3D presentations for clients
  • Maintain client budgets
  • Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
  • Requirements:

  • BA in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
  • More than 3 years of experience in the field
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Proven skills in Photoshop, Indesign, SketchUp (3D drawing skills would be advantageous)
  • Strong drafting and system design
  • Proficiency in Photoshop and InDesign – Adobe CS
  • Attention to detail a must
  • Proven ability to prioritize in order to meet deadlines an provide high quality service to clients
  • Self-motivated, a good team member who can be relied upon to work quickly and efficiently in an organized manner
