Skillset and Description:

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a position involving hands-on software application development and design.

Work Experience Skills:

• 8+ years' experience as a Quality Assurance analyst.

Technical Skills:

• Ability to design test plans, scenarios, scripts and procedures based on business requirement and/or functional specification.
• Ability to create and execute test cases manually.
• Ability to document software defects, and report defects to developers and project manager.
• Ability to identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, screen, or content.
• Ability to monitor bug solution, efforts and track successes.
• Ability to plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
• Ability to set up and validate test environment and data.
• Participate in product design reviews providing input on functional requirement, production design Schedule or potential problem.
• Review software documentation to ensure technically accuracy, compliance, or completeness or to mitigate risks
• Ability to independently analyze extensive data, identify discrepancies and inconsistencies and recommend a course of corrective action.
• Ability to write the SQL statement to manipulate and validate data.
• Experience with SQL and databases.
• Experience with ETL and backend testing.
• Solid understanding of Client/Server (Windows base) and Web server application architecture, and hands-on testing experience with different system components.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Excellent organization / analytical skill.
• Experience testing for financial applications or systems.
• Experience in HP Quality Center.
