QA Automation Engineer

Job Description
How you will help You will design, implement and manage our software quality assurance framework and processes. You will work closely with business and R&D teams to drive the design, implementation and documentation of test/quality methodologies that enhance existing test practices and improve overall product quality. You will own our testing environment and be the catalyst for more successful production deployments. You will be expected to work across all functional teams within HealthVerity to achieve quality goals. Additional tasks will include reviewing requirements and code, running manual testing, guiding automated testing, defining and refining acceptance criteria, architecting test planning and reporting results. What you will do
  • Implement test/quality principles and disciplines across the business and technology teams
  • Champion development tasks that enhance quality as part of our development processes
  • Develop and refine testing and quality processes, methodologies and performance measurements
  • Work with our Project Management team to document procedures for initiation and implementation of User Acceptance Testing strategies and plans
  • Confirm and document defects and communicate with our Product and Development teams
  • Guide automated test deployments, instruct the build out of related AWS environments and work towards continuous deployment of quality protocols
  • Ensure quality in platform and product deliverables
  • Increase customer satisfaction by leading and managing both a quality engineering and test automation strategy
  • Extend best practice QA methodologies throughout the software lifecycle
  • Establish and continually develop robust metric-based QA processes, procedures and methods
  • Build, maintain and execute against comprehensive QA test plans to ensure functional, regression and performance features in the product
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the QA team within an Agile/Scrum environment

  • Hands-on with application software testing, writing and maintaining automated tests using languages such as Ruby, Python, or Perl
  • Experienced with Shell and Python scripting
  • Competent with SQL and Git
  • Desired skills and experience
  • Knowledge of continuous integration frameworks such as Jenkins
  • Familiar with cross-browser testing frameworks like Selenium
  • Experience with rapid software testing, exploratory testing, system testing, production verification testing, customer certification testing and performance testing
  • Proficient with utilizing test automation tools
  • Experience with multiple testing techniques for data, API and web application testing in the Cloud
  • Experience with EmberJS a plus
  • Ability to learn quickly, communicate clearly, find and report bugs efficiently, and solve business and technical problems
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline
