Apply today and join the AEIS family POSITION SUMMARY We are looking to add a talented QualityDirector to our team Our Quality Director plays a critical role in our organization to uphold our commitment to our customers, providing the best possible quality and service we can achieve. If you are a hands-on quality leader, that strives to put quality first, we want you on our team As the Quality Director, you will be responsible for the leadership of the quality function and adherence to global quality standards. Aligning processes and implementation of Lean Sigma on our service module shall be a key aspect of this role. You will supervise and coordinate the activities of those engaged in inspecting construction activities and testing materials and components, applying knowledge of quality assurance standards and procedures to assure that all materials processed are in compliance with all applicable requirements. If you are looking for a challenging career with an industry leading company, come grow your career with AEIS KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Implement, manage, audit, and improve the Quality System in accordance with ISO 17025, 17020, AASHTO AMRL, CCRL, SSPC, AWS, NADCAP and other bodies. Supervise quality assurance lab personnel including training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, addressing complaints, resolving problems, rewarding, and disciplining employees. Ensure cooperation and teamwork among operations, management, sales, quality, and customers in matters relating to product quality. Participate in client audits and visits to client facilities. Understand and interpret all customer specifications and prints. Perform contract review with the assistance of the Operations Manager, Department Manager, and the Sales Engineer. Ensure that the lab is capable of performing the required inspection/ test, meeting all specification and drawing requirements. Review quality assurance instructions, specification, and drawings to determine the method of conducting inspections and tests, the sequence of operations and work assignments. Assist in developing processes, which achieve the required results. Inspect and test material to ensure adherence to customer specifications. Review documentation and confer with inspectors, operations management and engineering personnel to solve problems and to ensure that inspection requirements are met. Generate written reports and procedures concerning activities, functions, and systems. Apply analytical tools to determine present standards and establish quality systems. Plan, promote, organize and/or conduct training activities related to product quality and reliability. Locate the root cause of non-conformance and follow up and report on reprocessing of non-conforming product. Promote and participate in an environment conducive to continuous improvement, defect prevention, production efficiency, high morale and customer satisfaction. Maintain organized files for charts, shop orders, etc. Monitor print files periodically to assure all prints are properly updated and organized. Develop and maintain good customer relations and customer complaint handling procedures. Perform designed experiments to enhance both production and product quality. Use computer software programs to store, calculate, retrieve, and report on quality. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors Degree Must have lead assessor training and a minimum of eight plus years' experience in Quality Management role. Preferred certification as ASQ Certified Quality Manager Must be well experienced in Quality Management System, Root Cause Analysis, Lean/ Six, Sigma, Process Improvement Must have extensive experience and skills in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and associated tools. Ability to travel for job-related meetings, conventions, training, etc. Such travel may include overnight stays of one or more nights. Amount of travel estimated to be 10% or less. With COVID, this shall be reduced further. Experience working with Quality Management systems specifically ISO 17025, 17020. Must be a proficient user of Excel, Powerpoint, and Word. Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing. Must be able to participate in and encourage team working and communication.
