The goal is to assure the high quality of our software and to ensure it ships doing what we say it will do. You will be responsible for inspecting procedures and outputs, identifying bugs and issues where the software does not perform to spec. Your word will influence go/no-go decisions about product releases. You will always look to be building a first-class test framework to provide a statistical basis for important quality decisions about the products our customers rely on to do their business. The ideal candidate thinks clearly, enjoys breaking things, and feels a sense of accomplishment reporting issues. You should have enough understanding of the way "things can go wrong" in software and be able to call on that understanding. You should understand the important of QA to the overall health of a software product and know how to work diligently to maintain your product's quality.Responsibilities* Estimate, prioritize, plan, document, and coordinate tests.* Ensure coverage of regression tests, integration tests, performance tests, smoke tests, and more.* Review quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.* Design tests based on Agile specifications (Acceptance Criteria and Test Guidelines) and on documented product function for expected behavior.* Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases following company standards.* Perform thorough manual regression testing when technical issues are resolved and know how to repeat those tests.* Record and document debugging procedures.* Track test metrics, such as test coverage, defect densities, and open defect counts, to gain and share insights about quality issues.* Provide detailed reports, analytics, and go/no-go feedback about Product technical issues to the Product Owner and the CTO and engineering team to ensure immediate action.Requirements* At least 6 years proven work experience in QA with an emphasis on QA automation.* Hands-on experience on systems using a no-code automation system such as MABL, Functionize, Katalon Studio, etc. Experience with non-web testing tools such as QTP is less preferred but acceptable.* Strong knowledge of software test methodologies, tools and processes* Can write clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases to spec (Examples will be required - please prepare these.)* Able to work in an Agile/Scrum process.Pluses* Knowledge of cloud-based application architecture and principles.* Stay up-to-date with new testing approaches, tools and test strategies.* Understand data analysis/statistical methods.* Have experience with performance and/or security testing* Demonstrate ability to quickly learn, critique and improve procedures and concepts.Other information* Confirmed 100% Remote through Q1/2022, flexible afterward.It is the policy of Donnelley Financial Solutions to select, place and manage all its employees without discrimination based on race, color, national origin, gender, age, religion, actual or perceived disability, veteran's status, actual or perceived sexual orientation, genetic information or any other protected status.If you are a qualified individual with a disability or a disabled veteran, you have the right to request a reasonable accommodation if you are unable or limited in your ability to use or access jobs.dfinsolutions.com as a result of your disability.
