Job Description
Quality Analyst Xbox Studios Support provides production and engineering tools for Xbox Game Studio Studios. We work directly with product stakeholders form across Studios to provide services that help free up our game teams to do what they do best, make great games! As member of our QA team you will make a big impact by ensuring that we deliver high quality experiences which meet the needs our First Party producers and developers.ResponsibilitiesXbox Studios Support is looking for a Quality Analyst who has a passion for testing Azure based applications. You will own planning, implementation, and execution of testing feature areas for our cloud-based services. We work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment which encourages collaboration and ensures everyone’s voice is heard. As an area owner you will work closely with the program manager and developer counterparts to plan releases, design new features, and to ensure our products maintain a high-quality bar. As a member of the test team you will participate in all aspects of the development cycle to help drive communication with your fellow team members and to ensure test coverage is thorough and efficient. As an experienced tester, you will help us select and onboard test contractors and will work with them to keep them challenged and growing in their role. You will work not only on your projects, but you will also be advancing the overall portfolio of test tools/processes to strengthen and advance Studios Tooling, increasing our impact across the broader gaming organization. Become part of a team that is helping to grow Xbox Gaming Studios and work technologies built upon C#/.Net Core and AngularJS hosted in Azure. We are looking for candidates who take the time to understand our customers and are relentless in advocating for solutions empower them to achieve more.QualificationsThe successful candidate must have:
  • BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent industry experience
  • At least 5 years of QA experience
  • A firm understanding of testing methodologies
  • Strong testing aptitude, instincts, and ability to evaluate quality across a broad spectrum of features
  • Extensive experience testing services and web-based technologies
  • Experience leading other testers and authoring/executing test plans
  • Prior experience writing test automation and using Visual Studio unit and web test frameworks
  • Experience with Performance, Load/Stress Testing
  • Prior experience with relational database systems such as SQL Server
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with agile or scrum development practices
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and processes
  • Optionally, the candidate will have:
  • Experience with a complete software development and release cycle
  • Experience designing, developing and adapting technologies and processes to enhance testing capabilities
  • Experience with Azure or similar Cloud Services
  • Programming Experience in C#/.Net Core
  • Passion for the entertainment and gaming space
