Retail Banking Support Specialist

Job Description

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum of three years financial institution experience preferred. Must have a strong foundation in all aspects of member service, branch operations and be able to deal calmly and effectively with branch staff. Must be able to demonstrate a high proficiency in both Excel and Word. Strong working knowledge of the Fiserv system preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as good telephone etiquette necessary. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Must have the ability to work independently and to identify tasks that need to be accomplished without directions. Must demonstrate and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

The Retail Banking Support Specialist provides administrative and operational support to Retail Banking. This includes researching and writing policies and procedures based on new products, updating existing policies and procedures, and recommending changes and updates to existing policies and procedures. The Retail Banking Support Specialist will serve as the main operational support for new Branch Vice Presidents and Operations Managers and will provide additional operational support to branches enrolled in the Branch Management Program.
