Job Description

The Mid Atlantic Regional Business office supporting The US Oncology Network, located in Norfolk, VA is looking for an experienced Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)Trainer for our GE Centricity billing systems and MS Office based software. This position will be based at the Regional Business Office and will coordinate training activities with the Management Team at the Regional Business Office as well as other remote locations in a classroom setting as well as deliver training in a virtual environment. This position will research training opportunities. This applicant must have revenue cycle management. This position reports to and supports the Revenue Cycle Management team and internal users.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with the RCM leadership team develop standardized training documentation and ensure that RCM training materials are current and available. Training documentation may include teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and other means of delivering effective training to a diverse audience in multiple locations.
  • Create, facilitate and deliver training content to team members, including one on one coaching and up to fifty in group training sessions.
  • Teach and retrain using multiple techniques
  • Write and facilitate training content and send pertinent communication supporting these applications.
  • Train end users on internal systems from MS Office Suite (including Outlook, Word and Excel) to billing systems (GE Centricity) in the Revenue Cycle Management Department.
  • Work closely with facilities and other corporate departments to pinpoint and develop training interventions by performing audits on processes and procedures.
  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Limited overnight travel required; ability to independently travel as needed, without restriction, by all modes of transportation, including car, plane or train.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year College or University.
  • One or more years of experience as detailed above.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • GE Centricity software experience as a super user and trainer, preferred.
  • A deep understanding of teaching techniques; having utilized a variety of resources to accommodate the diversity of individual adult learning styles using corporate approved visual, auditory, hands-on materials and activities during training and education sessions.
  • Highly motivated, disciplined, innovative, and self-sufficient, excellent attitude, contagious behavior/energy.
  • Demonstrated understanding of corporate approved policies and procedures, workflows, standard operating procedures, and desktop procedures to create and deliver training content in a clear and logical manner to improve participant understanding.
  • Able to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment by solving problems creatively, dealing with uncertain/unpredictable work situations, and learning new tasks, procedures and technologies.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Experience working both independently and, in a team oriented, collaborative environment.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.     Work Environment: The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Work will involve in-person interaction with co-workers and management and/or clients. Work may require minimal travel by automobile to office sites.
