Senior Accountant - TS/SCI Clearance

Job Description

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience
  • Adjudicated TS/SCI Security Clearance – No Polygraph Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), or Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM)
  • Job Duties:

  • Act as accounting expert to explain and interpret Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Deliver general accounting, financial statement, and reporting support.
  • Research various financial statements and disclosures to determine compliance with GAAP.
  • Work independently and with accounting, audit, and other multi-discipline teams on a variety of complex accounting and financial issues.
  • Deliver knowledge of GAAP, US Standard General Ledger, Fund Balance with Treasury, Capitalization of Property and Leases, Adjusted Trial Balance
  • Reconcile accounts with shared service provider.
  • Deliver knowledge of design and implementation of complementary user entity controls.
  • Support accounts payable, accrual estimates and accrual accounting.
  • Assist with capital lease determinations.
  • Deliver knowledge of advances, prepayments, and related budgetary and proprietary accounts.
  • Accounts payable/receivables documentation/billing, and other related financial management support.
  • Knowledge/experience with federal Government financial audit processes and procedures.
  • Provide analysis, processing, and technical assistance in devising new or revising accounting policies/procedures, categorizing accounting transactions, and improving accounting operations.
  • Provide a variety of complicated tasks related to financial management, payroll, accounting operations, and procedures/process with the Agency’s shared service providers.
  • Supporting internal and external audit preparation, execution, and implementation of recommendations.

    Salary: $115,000.00 to $125,000.00 /year
