Job Description
Job Description:As a Senior Accountant, you would be responsible for the following:
  • Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded
  • Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports
  • Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses
  • Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger
  • Consult and assist in maintaining client-specific procedures to promote accurate and consistent accounting processes.
  • Mentor junior-level accountants within each client’s accounting team.
  • Identify and resolve exceptions between subsidiary ledgers and balance sheets.
  • Produce monthly financial packages for assigned clients.
  • Oversee and participate in the posting & review of Accounts Receivable transactions, including daily lockbox payments, online payments and remote capture deposits.
  • Perform bank account reconciliations for a large number of bank accounts.
  • Process property resales in accounting software.
  • Post journal entries to record payroll activity.
  • Review and post bank returns and AP/AR adjustments.
  • Post bank transfers and review ACH payments.
  • Set up new accounts in clients’ databases.
  • Use Excel to import and export data to and from clients’ databases.
  • Share feedback for software enhancements to facilitate increased efficiencies which will be considered for future development plans.
  • Required Experience:

  • At least two to four years of related experience is required
  • May require eligibility to sit for CPA exam
  • Effective communication skills
  • A thorough understanding of basic financial statements and accounting rules is required
  • Experience working with multiple clients/company books
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and proficiency in Excel is strongly desired
  • Exceptional attention to detail and demonstrated problem solving skills are essential
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Able to work with a diverse group of people.
  • Experience/Training:

    Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or three years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    CPA Certification is a plus
