Job Description
The R/GA talent management team plays an integral role in helping to manage and maximize internal resources across the agency. They are a team of collaborative individuals that help provide opportunities for employees, curate the right teams and advise on staffing trends. Reporting to a member of the resource management team, the Senior Talent Manager will be responsible for partnering with a group or office to effectively staff team members and understand skill sets for team members.

Main Responsibilities include:
  • Lead client, group or office allocations and be main point of contact for staffing items
  • Work with leads on capacity planning and longer term staff forecasting
  • Partner with business and discipline leads on strategic staffing initiatives
  • Find ways to increase efficiency or improve people processes and share recommendations to leadership
  • Implement proactive rotation strategies and support retention and recognition efforts for group or office
  • Report on utilization and other staffing metrics for group/office and call out trends/concerns to leadership team
  • Manage open position list for group/office ensuring business cases exist or with confirmation of investment approval and prioritize positions for recruitment
  • Collaborate with recruitment regarding updates on internal landscape and changes to open position needs (both freelance and full time)
  • Partner with finance to understand revenue forecast and client margins to get ahead of staffing needs or capacity
  • Partner with HR on talent assessments, ensuring we are recognizing top performers and addressing performance issues
  • Thoroughly understand resource skill sets to make the right staffing recommendations
  • Collaborate with the rest of the resource management team to appropriately share needs and availability
  • Manage freelance engagements for group/office
  • Help onboard new staff and freelance hires
  • At least 5+ years of experience with resource/talent management or production or related field
  • Prior experience in agency or creative production environment preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Great communication skills, including written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills
  • Proactive and solution orientated
  • Advanced organizational skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and team player
  • Ability to lead meetings, drive conversations and resolve conflicts
  • Understanding of resource management reporting and general tools
