ServiceNow QA Engineer – ITmPowered

The IT ServiceNow Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for Quality Assurance of the future state usability of the ServiceNow platform leveraging ITSM, ITOM best practices. Drive and execute Test Plans, cases, scripts, and UAT. Leverage your QA background testing ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM Use cases, User Stories, workflows, end to end processes, and SNOW integrations. Build and execute SNOW test plans, test cases, test scripts for both manual and automated testing. Facilitate SNOW QA Test Engineering meetings with ITSM SME’s and ServiceNow Analyst, Developers, and Administrators in test planning, LOE, Backlog grooming, regression, test coverage, status.

Responsibilities

  • QA Testing of ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM (London / Madrid) Manual, Automated, Smoke, Regression Tests.
  • Test ServiceNow Functionality across ITSM and ITOM Modules; Incident management, Customer Service, Change management, Problem management, Service Catalog, User Administration, Reporting, Discovery.
  • Create and execute Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Scripts, UAT Testing and Traceability Matrices. (Visio, Excel)
  • Translate requirements into Test Plans, UAT User Stories, Use Cases, and Sprint backlogs in Jira
  • Leverage your familiarity of ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM configuration, administration, maintenance; User/Group/Role Management, List/Form Updates, Catalog Items/Service Portal, Workflows, Creating Tables and Fields, Discovery and Orchestration.
  • Quality Assurance for build out of the new ServiceNow ITSM/ITOM, GRC functionality on London and Madrid instances with as much configurable out of the box functionality as possible.
  • Groom QA Testing backlogs into prioritized workable 2-week sprints. Provide realistic QA testing Level of efforts to PMO. Attend daily standups and remove roadblocks. Drive QA Test schedule and status reports.
  • Track Test Case Management, and Bug tracking
  • Data QA experience – data sampling, data profiling, SQL queries, selects, joins, XLS pivot tables, data validation, for BI Reporting for Business user consumption and validation.
  • Assist non-QA resources in the planning and execution of Lease Accounting UAT – User Acceptance Testing.
  • QA Automation preparation – Help with Automated Regression Testing for steady state application updates.
  • Test API integrations with SailPoint IAM and others (Ping federate, workday, SFA, ERP, etc.)

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, Math, Business, or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
  • ServiceNow Certifications (Implementation Specialist, Admin on ITSM/ITOM ) – (London, Madrid)
  • MUST have ServiceNow Automated Testing Framework (ATF) – Client Test Runner, Test / Suite Run Queue, Step config, Test Templates, Table Cleanup)
  • 7-10 years Quality Assurance / Software Test Engineering – Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Scripts, regression testing, UAT Test plans/cases, RTM’s, functional, regression, automation.
  • 3-5 years Testing ServiceNow Deployments. ITSM / ITOM (Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, SLA)
  • Experience with ServiceNow implementations in Incident, Problem, Change and Knowledge Management, with recent skills working in IT Operations Management (CMDB, Event Management, Discovery) OR GRC.
  • Data experience – SQL queries, selects, joins, XLS pivot tables, data validation, data profiling.
  • JIRA experience for – sprints, QA user stories, QA LOE estimation, backlog grooming experience.
  • Prior experience with MS Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Bitbucket.
  • Outstanding communication skills – verbal, written – can smoothly navigate meetings with executives, PMO, Business app owners, tech teams, etc. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
