Display interpersonal skills to maintain positive working relationships through cooperation and open communication. Maintain some involvement in the regular interface with all levels of management. Occasionally prepare and present information with recommendations to management.
Business Acumen - Possess a limited understanding of the company business environment and the operations of the area(s) and function(s) being supported. Perform and apply financial planning and analysis techniques to retrieve data and information affirming good business practices and adherence to contract and corporate policies. Conduct efficient audits of selected financial and accounting functions to ensure adherence to contract and corporate guidelines. Interpret and provide advice on accounting policies and procedures; ensure compliance with established procedures; review policies for appropriateness and effectiveness and recommend changes.

Basic Qualifications (Quantifiable; e.g. Three Years Experience, Bachelors Degree)
Generally achieved with a bachelors degree in Business Administration; Accounting or Finance preferred plus five years of related accounting/financial experience or MBA and two years of related experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting and financial concepts.
Strong personal computer skills.
Demonstrate proficiency in the use of PC based business applications and in the use of automated accounting systems with some supervision and training. Moderate understanding of the characteristics and capabilities of the accounting structure and processes.
Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Department of Energy Acquisition Regulations (DEAR), and DOE Orders.
