The Sr. Lead Business Analyst defines and performs the most complex process and systems analysis, design, and implementation. This individual also leads process and systems implementation and re-engineering efforts to ensure highest quality of processes, information, organizational change, and services to internal and external customers. In addition, our Lead Business Analyst provides user support through problem resolution, system modification, maintenance, training, and procedure development. Also, this individual identifies, implements, and maintains system controls to ensure system and servicing data integrity, and serves as division liaison for inter-departmental process and systems development.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Systems Analysis on our enterprise Data Migration for our Lease Accounting application.
  • Meet with Lease Accounting Business SME’s to interview, gather business requirements, do process walk throughs on hundreds of lease types, scenarios, workflows, and use cases. Understand Lease types, Lease accounting best practices, GAAP, Lease types, tax and interest calculations, and differences between legacy and new Lease Accounting applications.
  • Meet with Technical Data Warehouse, ETL, BI specialists to walk through the data migration from Oracle to SQL Server, leveraging Informatica for ETL processes, Cognos cubes/marts, reports, and Tableau dashboards.
  • Translate the business requirements, customer use cases, accounting process flows, and calculations into detailed Technical requirements, workflows, process diagrams, and use cases. Pull Data samples in SQL (inner/outer joins, select statements, queries) from Oracle, SQL Server, Cognos, Tableau.
  • Analyze / pivot data in Excel to understand lease accounting customers, types, volumes, scenarios, use cases.
  • Focus on Data Quality and customer account and statement accuracy throughout migration process.
  • Plan out migration of customer accounts, data, and use cases, in sprints and major milestones.
  • Serve as Liaison between Business Stakeholders Lease Accounting SME Users, Customer SME users, and development teams (Oracle, SQL, Informatica ETL, Cognos, Tableau), QA test teams, and vendor.
  • Drive customer account and data migration from legacy to new Lease Accounting platform.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in banking or financial services industry, or appropriate combination of education and experience (Banking, Mortgage, Finance, etc.).
  • 3+ years BA and/or related technical experience.
  • 3+ years data analysis and Microsoft Excel experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of loan and/or lease financial servicing and systems, ideally LeaseWave and/or InfoLease.
  • 5+ years BA and/or related technical experience.
  • Basic SQL experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of management information systems, personal computer and software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, queries, and reports.
  • Advanced experience with impact analysis, requirements gathering, testing, and project management.
  • Business analysis or project management certification.
  • Advanced analytical, organizational, business writing, and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and accounting procedures.
  • Knowledge of loan/lease documentation, terms, and terminology.
  • Knowledge of databases, queries, and reports.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties, which may require work variance from normal bank hours to meet user need and project deadlines.
  • Ability to lead matrix teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Some travel due to vendor/user interfaces and educational purposes.
