JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for creating and editing compelling broadcast and on-line video content, including, but not limited to TV commercials, on-line and social videos, in-park animated signage, and animated on-site displays. Produces motion graphics and 3D animation for assigned projects and campaigns (concept to delivery). Works on multiple projects concurrently, balancing time, while maintaining quality. Develops designs that are consistent with UOR design quality, brand standards, and customer engagement strategies.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creates compelling, creative edits and motion graphic designs for broadcast, on-line and in-park channels.
  • Creates and/or edits compelling creative videos including, but not limited to broadcast commercials, online videos, in-park channels and various projects as assigned by the team.
  • Participates in creative and conceptual brainstorming sessions. Manages multiple assignments, schedules and assigns work to specified team members. Continually explores new opportunities for communicating in evolving digital media.
  • Maintains Solid Understanding of UOR Core Business, Brand Portfolio, Brand Standards and Target Audiences
  • Ensures consistent application of brand and LP standards.
  • Teamwork/Collaboration
  • Interacts with Creative Directors, Producers, Art Directors & Copywriters to develop creative concepts and executions of assigned campaigns and projects.
  • Strives to complete projects on time and on budget.
  • Alerts Dir. of Marketing-Video and PM team if timelines are off-target.
  • Maintains effective relationships with other team members and promotes a collaborative work environment throughout UO.
  • EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required in Advertising, Communications & Production

    EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-7 combined years of experience in motion graphic design field, storytelling/editing/post production, advertising agency or marketing environment,
  • Proficient in Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere, Cinema 4D, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Final Cut Pro and other 3D animated software programs with a solid understanding of optimizing media for the web.
  • Experience with a variety of 3rd party motion graphic plugins (i.e. Trapcode Suite)
  • Must possess solid design fundamentals and the ability to transform them to ever expanding digital media.
  • Design background with extensive relevant portfolio of motion graphics, online/digital work.
  • Experience in like industry (travel, tourism, entertainment) and with like targets/demographics (teens/tweens, vacationers, Floridians, Hispanics) a plus
  • Keeps abreast of new technologies and techniques to deliver cutting edge work. Stays abreast of design trends particularly in Travel, Tourism and Entertainment Industry.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. This position will assist with supervisory support of the editor position along with supporting supervision of the assistant editor-intern paid position for the team.
