Sr. Technical Analyst – Lending Applications

Sr. Technical Analyst – Lending Applications will support the enterprise migration off the legacy interest rate model and support the development of new interest rate model. Assess and understand the impacts to our large loan accounting and lending applications. Leverage your technical background in Mortgage Lending, wholesale / commercial lending, Loan accounting, and lending applications like ACBS, LoanIQ, Jack Henry and related terminology LIBOR/SOFR interest rate models, Swaps, spreads, curves, etc. Lead requirements meetings with Loan Accounting Business SME’s (Loan Acounting, processing, servicing) and Technical SME’s (ACBS Developer’s, SQL, Oracle DBA’s) regarding the interest rate change.

  • As Business / Technical Analyst conduct Deep Dive into Lending Loan Accounting platforms to understand required functional use cases impacted by the interest rate model change.
  • Speak Lending / Loan Accounting fluently: Swaps, credit, LIBOR/SOFR, spreads, Variable index, rate curve, Overnight rate, daily rate, monthly rate, quarterly rates, renewal periods, etc.
  • Speak with Technical SME’s Software Engineers and database experts across ACBS, Oracle, SQL, ETL, DW, BI to understand technical impacts to systems and data flows.
  • Generate Requirements, Functional Specifications, Technical Specifications (BRD, FRD, Data flow diagrams), UAT Test, Plans, Test Cases, and Traceability Matrices. (Visio, Excel)
  • Translate requirements (BRD/FRD/Tech Specs) into User Stories, Agile Use Cases, and Agile / Scrum Sprint backlogs in Jira
  • Groom backlogs into prioritized workable 2-week sprints. Provide realistic LOE to PMO. Attend daily standups and remove roadblocks.
  • Query data (SQL, Oracle, Excel) and translate requirements into a logical data model and data validation, drive report outputs and validate with business SME users.
  • Working with PM/PMO integrate releases with enterprise integrated release schedules for other applications, change windows, and change freeze periods. See the bigger picture.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and 7+yrs in IT.
  • 3-5 years as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Technical Analyst (BRD, FRD, Use Cases, Stories, SCRUM, Sprints, UAT Test plans/cases, RTM’s.
  • 1-3 years as BA on Lending (Mortgage, wholesale, commercial lending) applications. Experience with Loan Accounting applications (ACBS, LOANIQ, Jack Henry) preferred.
  • Data experience – data profiling, SQL queries, selects, joins, XLS pivot tables, data validation, specifications for BI Reporting for Business user consumption and validation.
  • SCRUM, AGILE, SAFe experience – sprints, user stories, LOE, backlog grooming
  • Proven communication skills – present status at meetings with C-level, VP, Sr. Directors, Tech Architects, Dev, QA, Banking App Dev Vendors.
  • Basic familiarity with Lending Interest rates (overnight rates, daily/monthly/quarterly rates) and the coming interest rate reference model change LIBOR sun setting, migration to SOFR.
