Job Description

Computes and prepares data for A/P and A/R entries and journal accruals. Prepares and processes Payroll on a bi-weekly basis. Reviews and reconciles general ledger accounts for accuracy and reporting. Prepare balance sheet analysis for certain accounts on monthly basis. Works with Purchasing and Receiving to resolve vendor issues and supports Controller regarding cost accounting and ensures accurate costing. Works with Controller to schedule payments based on cash availability. Good knowledge of accounting principles. Proficient in excel spreadsheet software. Good communication and organization skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Process and match invoices with Purchase Order and receiving documentation as well as Expense Reports for Accounts Payable entry and check preparation.
  • Prepare weekly check runs, daily/weekly customer billings.
  • Prepare monthly A/P and A/R management reports generated by Epicor and maintain files for A/P payments and invoices, A/R customer billings.
  • Prepare monthly A/P and A/R accruals and journal entries.
  • Work with Purchasing and vendors to resolve vendor and invoice discrepancies.
  • Works with Sales and Project Managers regarding project milestone billings, aftermarket parts sales, and service billings.
  • Reconciles A/P aging and A/R aging to G/L balance and creates weekly sub ledgers batches posting.
  • Prepares and processes payroll for the company on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Prepares payroll journal entries, and generates payroll reports as needed.
  • Processes Form 1099’s at year-end.
  • Reconciliation of bank statements and account analysis.
  • Assist with trial balance and preparing statements and reports.
  • File Sales Tax returns.
  • Forecast A/P cash expenditures for coming month.
  • Assist in special projects as requested.
  • EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS PREFERRED

  • Computer skills, especially Excel, Crystal Reports, and Epicor a plus
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in A/P, A/R, and Payroll
  • Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 /year
